This video captures one of those unforgettable moments — seeing the finished book in my hands for the very first time. From the vibrant illustrations and carefully crafted pages to the beautiful print and premium finish, it’s wonderful to finally see all those years of creative work come together as a real book.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Tiny Spiny is my first solo picture book as author and illustrator, published through my independent children's publishing imprint, Star Spun Books.  The story celebrates individuality, curiosity and courage, while encouraging young readers to discover and care for the unique wildlife of Aotearoa. And this is just the beginning…
