​​A multidisciplinary artist since 1997, my work draws inspiration from my roots and education in Fine Art and Illustration in South Africa. The power of visual storytelling compelled me into my chosen creative path.  Today my job titles include Author, Illustrator, Designer and Fine Artist.

 

I have exhibited in Mangawhai Artists Gallery, Fins Gallery, Morgan Street Gallery, Depot Gallery, Artport Gallery and many of my oil paintings have sold by word of mouth.

For almost 3 decades, I have illustrated Children's picture books and educational readers and collaborated with various publishers in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, including Scholastic, Cengage Learning, Sunshine Books, MacMillan, Scholastic and Oratia Books on the Nanny Mihi’s Medicine and Nanny Mihi’s Harvest series.

I am excited to announce that I have just written, illustrated, designed and soon to publish my first solo picture book called Tiny Spiny through Star Spun Books, so happy to add Author to my list of skills. Watch this space for exciting updates and publication release date! 

 

Whether writing stories, creating works of art digitally or traditionally in the ways of our old oil masters, I aim to capture the energy and vibrancy in each story and artwork, which will allow viewers to connect to my work and also leave a lasting memory of it.
